well definitly if you have bags under your eye...get rid of them...so sleep is a great option...or green tea bags or frozen spoons work too...another way is to splash water on your face...when your face looks awake so do your eyes...and that widens them

BUT .. if your asian this advice wont work for yous :]

I have always wanted my eyes to look "Anime" like, but it just never works. try this:
1. a LOT of sleep, but wake up at a reasonable time.
2. rinse eyes out with COLD (and i mean REALLY cold) water for about 5 or 6 minutes.
3. Don't look at bright things too much like the sun, cause it makes you squint a little bit.
4. Open wide, but not too wide or people will think you just saw the Texas chainsaw dude.
